I spent eight years at HubSpot building signal-based prospecting systems for one of the largest sales teams in the world. I helped build out the Clay program there — the same toolset and approach that the best B2B sales orgs in the world now run on.

The thing nobody talks about: the hardest part of that work wasn't the tooling. It was teaching reps and operators how to think in signals — how to spot the moments where a buyer goes from "not in market" to "actively looking" — and how to show up at exactly that moment with the right message.
